About Richard Peters

Richard Peters comes from a large family of antique dealers, originally from Leeds, West Yorkshire, in the north of England, he moved to London some 27 years ago and has lived and worked in the capital ever since.

Richard Peters is well known in the oriental antiques trade and has always specialised in Chinese antiques, Chinese porcelain, Japanese antiques and European works of art.

Richard's expertise, together with his long standing working relationship with his twin brother Robert and their wide international contacts, enable them to source and identify fine and rare pieces of Chinese porcelain and works of art.

The Richard Peters Antiques gallery is based at the Antique Centre, Vicarage House, 58 - 60 Kensington Church Street, London W8 4DB. The gallery is in the heart of the oriental antique trade in London and is visited on a daily basis by dealers from all over the world.

Commissions

Richard and his twin brother Robert would be happy to discuss any commissions that you may have for general or specific pieces and are able to assist and advise on building an Investment Portfolio within the Chinese porcelain and works of art field.

The knowledge they have gained in their specialised field has come from regular trips to Hong Kong. Over the last  20 years they have studied the market at its source by viewing the major international collectors auctions of Chinese ceramics and works of art.

This dedication to understand and evaluate this intricate field, has led them to work on a regular basis in partnership with some of the worlds leading dealers (references are available on request).

Advice and assistance can be given on all aspects of trading, including packing, shipping, to import/export regulations.

Richard prides himself on being a "dealer's dealer" and offers a wide selection of rare and exquisite goods, both to the trade and private collector alike.
